Architecture

Our area has endless number of romanesque churches. Lucca is an architecture gem with lots of wonderful buildings, some of them as old as 2000 years and 98 churches.

Music

Puccini lived in Lucchesia and also worked in Bagni di Lucca. The house where Puccini was born is now a museum house in Lucca. There are daily recitals in San Giovanni's church:

His house in Torre del Lago is also a museum and during July and August there is the Puccini Festival in the open air theatre on the lake.
